Real estate reform will benefit consumers

11 November 2016

By Tim McKibbin – REINSW CEO

Finally after more than 10 years of the REINSW lobbying successive governments, reforms have been outlined to improve education and training standards for the real estate profession.

The NSW Government has released the Real Estate and Property Services Industry Reform Paper which outlines their vision to improve education standards in the real estate and property services industry.

This is long overdue, with the entry requirements for real estate agents deteriorating so much that it requires more training to become a barista.

Selling and buying property is one of the most important decisions most people will ever make.

This is why it is essential consumers have a well-trained, highly skilled expert agent who understands their journey.

Submissions are invited until 5 December and I urge the public to support the reforms.
