Real estate professionals have a duty to act in the client’s best interest, but how do we deal with a situation where instructions from your client don’t sit well with you? Our presenters discuss some common examples.


The real estate profession serves an important role in society by providing expertise to people who are often making the biggest purchase of their lives.

In order to be viewed as a trusted professional, it is important that we comply by the rules and use values and virtue to help with decisions by following ethical practice.

Having said this, there are instances during a real estate transaction where the lines between right and wrong are not so clear.

We have a duty to act in the client’s best interest, but how do we deal with a situation where instructions from your client don’t sit well with you?
