Webinar: Pathway To Professionalism

7 February 2017
2.00pm - 3.00pm
FREE for REINSW members

REINSW held its fourth annual Industry Summit on 24th November 2016. This was arguably the most important one to date as it explored the future for the property industry.

The real estate industry is going through a period of tremendous change. The industry is at a crossroads, and agents have a decision to make.

The Age of the Professional is with us, but are we ready, willing and able to take the journey to become a true profession, recognised in law, with all of the responsibilities and standards that comes with it?

It is true that the most successful agents today are professionals. In the future, though, every agent will be a professional. They will be better educated, providers of trusted advice and the best results, give top customer service, and offer and facilitate a range of services.

The Industry Summit considered and debated this critical topic.

Victor Dominello, the Minister for Innovation and Better Regulation, set the scene with an opening address, which was followed by a lively panel discussion about the future of the real estate industry facilitated by Michael Sheargold and John Cunningham. The panel included the following industry leaders:

  • Shannan Whitney, Director of BresicWhitney
  • Ewan Morton, Managing Director of Morton
  • Leanne Pilkington, Managing Director of Laing + Simmons
  • Chris Mourd, Head of Real Estate at LJ Hooker, and
  • Doug Driscoll, CEO of Starr Partners

This webinar will provide a summary of the main outcomes and recommendations of the Summit, and a discussion of the path forward.

Register now to find out where the REINSW wants to take the industry – and be ready to ask questions as there will be plenty of time to submit them during the webinar and get them answered by the presenters.
