Have you ever thought about employing a trainee? REINSW has received funding from the NSW Government through the Smart and Skilled program. This is great news for your agency, as the funding can help offset the cost of employing a new team member. It's simple, you find the trainee and we provide the training. 

 

What is a traineeship?

A traineeship is Commonwealth Government funded training that allows an individual to gain practical experience through workplace employment and complete a formal nationally recognised training program while obtaining a wage.

 

Traineeship programs

REINSW offers traineeships in:

  • CPP30211 – Certificate III in Property Services (Agency), undertaken over 12 months.
  • CPP40307 - Certificate IV in Property Services (Real Estate), undertaken over 24 months and allowing the trainee, upon completion, to apply to NSW Fair Trading for a Real Estate Licence.

RTO Provider Number: 90117

Both qualifications include the units required by NSW Fair Trading for the Certificate of Registration.
 

Who is eligible?

 

The criteria for eligibility or Government employer incentives, varies by individual and qualification. You can find out more here >>>

However to give you an idea, below is a list of some of the elements within the criteria: 

  • New entrant– Employed for less than 3 months full time or less than 6 months part-time
  • Aged 15 years and over
  • No longer at school
  • Living or working in NSW
  • An Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident, Australian permanent humanitarian visa holder or New Zealand citizen

Consumer Protection

As a learner you are covered by Smart and Skilled consumer protection measures. REINSW supports a learner’s rights in line with Australian Consumer Law, Smart and Skilled and Australian Privacy Principles. Code of Practice (Smart and Skilled Consumer Protection Strategy)
All consumers have the right to:

  • Expect the education and training they receive will be of a quality consistent with ASQA regulations and Smart and Skilled Contract requirements
  • Be informed about personal information that is collected about them and the right to review and correct information
  • Access to a provider’s consumer protection complaints system

All consumers have obligations, including nit not limited, to:

  • Provide accurate information to the provider
  • Behave in a responsible and ethical manner

Privacy and Access to Information 

You may request access to your information and/or your progress throughout your training at any time by provision of your name, address and date of birth to verify your identify, however we cannot give information to a third party without your express written permission. A declaration is included with your Enrolment form giving authority for REINSW  to provide information as required to Government agencies as relevant only to your training.

What does an employer need to provide to a trainee?

An employer is required to provide the following:

  • The opportunity to develop key skills and acquire relevant knowledge of the industry
  • Access to structured on and/or off the job training
  • Time at work to undertake structured training
  • Time off work to complete assessments - up to three hours per week.
  • A safe working environment
  • Other benefits as specified in the traineeship agreement 
 
Student Handbook
As part of the enrolment process, students are required to read the Student Handbook, which details policies and procedures relevant to your learning.
Cost
The total Student Contribution fee for the CPP30211 – Certificate III in Property Services (Agency) and CPP40307 Certificate IV in Property Services (Real Estate) qualification is $1000 to eligible trainees. This fee is payable upfront upon enrolment. The Student Contribution fee is aligned with the Smart and Skilled 2016 prices, fees and subsidies document, as well as the NSW Smart and Skilled fee administration policy.
