Artwork auction to raise funds for agent

13 December 2017

Di Jones is auctioning off two limited edition artworks to help raise funds for their colleague, Kate McCullagh, who is battling breast cancer for a second time.

The money raised will go towards assisting with medical and general living expenses for Kate, of the Southern Highlands team, who first battled the illness in 2014. Art collector and Di Jones sales agent Gary Sands has donated the artworks from his private collection.

The works are being auctioned on the Bidding For Good website - www.biddingforgood.com/dijones from until 9pm on 15 December 2017.

If you wish to view the works in person, please contact (02) 8356 7878 or visit the Woollahra office at Queens Court, 118 - 122 Queen Street, Woollahra NSW 2025.

Di Jones CEO Rob Ward said: “We were saddened to hear that Kate’s cancer has returned and wanted to help take as much stress away during this difficult time by making contributions that will allow her to focus on her treatment and health. We want to support her and her family and help in any way we can.

“Di Jones team members have made personal contributions to assist with her expenses and Gary has kindly donated two works from accomplished Australian visual artist Francis Packer, son of the late Clyde Packer.”

The inspiration behind Mr. Packer’s artwork was a garden built in his California home that became a tribute to his partner who passed away in the 9/11 attack.

Rob added: “The garden inspired pieces for auction are ‘Dahlia’ and ‘Schom Tibiscinis’ and are unique editions of the photographs making them more desirable and increasing their significance.”
