Course Overview:
The purpose of this course is to train real estate agents in the requirements of fire safety regulations under
the legislation relating to commercial buildings.
The training will ensure that learners have a clear understanding of the roles and responsibilities of Landlords
and tenants to ensure that commercial buildings prevent, detect, and suppress fire to protect life and property.
The course will outline: the requirements of maintaining fire safety measures that are located within commercial
buildings; the role of local Council and Fire and Rescue NSW; and, the need for fire safety schedules,
certificates, and statements.
Even though this course was written for agents dealing with commercial properties, the content can also be used
for strata buildings due to the nature of the classification of the building and the need for fire regulations
to protect life and property.
