The purpose of this course is to train real estate agents in best practice when collecting, maintaining, and using and disclosing personal information of others that it may collect throughout its business activities.

The purpose of this course is to train real estate agents in best practice when collecting, maintaining, and using and disclosing personal information of others that it may collect throughout its business activities.
Along with other legislation a real estate agent must comply with, the Privacy Act 1988 is one that will apply to most real estate agents. To help real estate agents comply with this Act, Australia has implemented the 13 Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) to help guide and assist in the implementation of the Privacy Act.
It is important that real estate agents understand how to protect their real estate at all levels while understanding how the acts done, or practices followed by staff, also can have a negative impact on the real estate agency when managing personal information.
