Real Estate’s Big Day Out tour to discuss issues facing property industry

8 May 2014
The Real Estate Institute of New South Wales will tour the state with other property industry experts in May and June for its fifth annual roadshow.

“I’m excited to be heading out with REINSW CEO Tim McKibbin, and representatives from government and other industry stakeholders,” REINSW President Malcolm Gunning said.

“It’s an opportunity for our members to hear the direction forward for real estate, including what’s happening in the market and the economy, the impact of recent legislative changes, as well as our lobby activities.

“We will take an in-depth look at national licensing following the decision to disestablish the National Occupation Licensing Authority (NOLA), as well as the newly created NSW Civil & Administrative Tribunal (NCAT).

“Importantly it also gives us the opportunity to take feedback from real estate professionals on what they are facing in their day-to-day working lives so we can better assist them in the future.”

“We are delighted that this year’s roadshow has been extended to include more than 20 locations right across the state,” Mr Gunning said.

Also in attendance will be representatives from the Real Estate Employers’ Federation (REEF), NSW Fair Trading, NSW Office of State Revenue and REI Super.
