Delivery: 3 Step Recognition process: Self-assessment Questionnaire, Review and Competency Conversation, Recognition

*NOTE: REINSW does not guarantee that NSW Fair Trading will grant a certificate or licence. Applications for licensing are at the sole discretion of NSW Fair Trading.

If you are unable to gather sufficient evidence to prove your competency, you will have the option to undertake additional training in units or clusters for which you did not have enough evidence. This could be completed via eLearning or in a classroom.

3-step recognition process - For individuals:

Step 1 - Self-Assessment Questionnaire

Tell us about your skills, knowledge, and experience. This tool will guide you through the steps to complete your self-assessment questionnaire.

Complete the multiple-choice questions and describe your experience in your own words.

Step 2 - Review and Competency Conversation

An assessor will review your self-assessment information to consider your eligibility for RPL.

A competency conversation will be arranged to give you an opportunity to expand on your skills and knowledge and for the assessor to ask questions to verify your knowledge and experience.

You will also be asked to provide supporting documentation and a third-party report from your supervisor or licensed agent to confirm your work history and competence.

Step 3 - Recognition

If you need to complete any gap training or assessment, you can complete this by eLearning or classroom. It is important to note that recognition for the full qualification is highly unlikely as REINSW considers compliance with legislation and trust accounting are high-risk areas, and so will require you to complete a gap assessment to confirm competency in these areas.

On successful completion of all gap learning and assessment, a transcript and certificate will be issued.
