KEYNOTE PRESENTATION - The psychology of winning

Volatility in financial markets highlights the reactive nature of many leaders in uncertain times. Dr Clark Perry will reveal how certain attitudes and behaviours can deliver exceptional performance in the face of such adversity. He will demonstrate how mental toughness can be measured and developed, both on a personal level and at an organisational level, through leadership.

Dr Clark Perry

For more than 20 years, he has worked closely with a wide range of athletes, coaches and business leaders such as the Australian Swimming Team, the ARU Wallabies, the National Australia Bank, MLC, Toyota and Pfizer. He is an international speaker specialising in creating and sustaining exceptional performance environments.

U, V or W – what shape will the recovery take?

The focus is now shifting from recession to recovery, but what shape will the recovery take? The speed and trajectory of economic recovery has significant implications for both business and investors. Craig James will assess the current economic conditions and highlight the issues that will shape the recovery.

Craig James

His unique approach has made CommSec the most quoted economic group in the mainstream media. Craig conducts daily television crosses and media interviews, writes commentaries and gives regular presentations.

Recovery or razor blades?

Recovery! How bad will it be? How long will it take? How strong will it be? And when? Dr Frank Gelber will look beyond the current circumstances and focus on the prospects for the office, industrial and retail property markets.

Dr Frank Gelber
Chief Economist, BIS Shrapnel

Dr Frank Gelber is a forecaster, focusing on medium-term analysis, sustainability and cycles in activity. Noted for sticking his neck out and saying what he thinks will happen, even when that view is unpopular or controversial, he focuses on how things will change, what that means for different market participants and what they should do about it.

The impact of changing captial requirements on leveraged property owernship

Campbell Hanan will examine changes in the financial markets, challenges to accepted valuation methods and why some popular listed institutions have perished. He will also consider the role of the commercial property agent from the perspective of a major institutional owner.
