REINSW’s submission in response to the proposed changes to the Residential Tenancies Act is now available. The Bill has not yet been introduced into parliament, but is expected to be introduced in the first quarter of 2010. A further submission will be lodged once the draft Residential Tenancies Regulation is released some time in 2010.
REINSW has conducted extensive media and awareness campaigns on the review, including meetings with both the Minister and Shadow Minister for Fair Trading and with senior officials of the OFT. REINSW will continue to pursue all available avenues to keep lobbying on behalf of members to secure the best possible outcome.
