Membership Categories & fees
Full Firm membershipFull Firm membership is appropriate for sole traders, partnerships, associations, corporations, incorporated or unincorporated bodies, societies, co-operatives, or any combination thereof, actively engaged in real estate practice and holding appropriate licenses.
Practice membership
Practice membership is designed for practitioners employed in non-member firms to join as individuals according to their speciality of practice.
Practice members nominate one Chapter in accordance with their specialisation. The various practice specialisations are categorised by the Institute into Chapters. REINSW has 11 Chapters:
- Auctioneers
- Business Agents
- Buyers' Agents
- Commercial/Industrial
- Holiday and Short Term Rentals
- Residential Property Management
- Residential Sales
- Strata Management
- Rural
- Valuers
- Young Agents
Eligibility: Practice membership is available for individuals only. Firms and corporations are not eligible.
Associated Calling Affiliate membership
Associated Calling Affiliate membership is for people who have an interest in, but are not actually practising as, real estate agents. For example, bankers, solicitors, accountants, private developers, government departments etc.Non-Practising Affiliate membershipThis category is for REINSW members who are no longer involved in the real estate industry but wish to be kept informed on what’s happening by receiving the monthly Real Estate Journal.
Eligibility: Non-members cannot become Non-Practising Affiliates.
Student Affiliate membershipStudent Affiliate membership is for students currently undertaking studies of 12 months or longer in the areas of real estate, valuation and land economics with a recognised educational institution and who are not yet employed within the real estate industry.
Student Affiliate Members receive the monthly Real Estate Journal.
