The Scheme was developed by the Law Society of NSW and REINSW to resolve disputes regarding unpaid commission in conveyancing transactions. It is an authoritative alternative to litigation or resort to other complaint mechanisms. By agreement between the parties, a binding determination can be made in relation to disputes between the vendor's agent and the vendor's solicitor in any case where the agent asserts that the solicitor has improperly failed to pay a commission to the agent.
