Then the real estate industry has a career path for you!

There's so much more to real estate than just buying and selling houses. Auctioneering, business agency, buyers' agency, commercial and retail sales and property management, residential property management, strata management, valuation - the list goes on.

REINSW Education & Training has a wide range of programs tailored to suit.

So where do you start?

To work as a real estate agent you must be over 16 years of age and you must obtain a Certificate of Registration from the Office of Fair Trading (OFT). To obtain a Certificate of Registration, you'll need to complete a Certificate of Registration Course.

REINSW Course in Certificate of Registration Course

The Certificate of Registration Course is an exciting course that is designed to give you the basic skills necessary to start a successful career in the real estate industry. Completing an REINSW Certificate of Registration Course ensures your qualification is highly regarded by employers because your training is backed by the leading industry body for real estate professionals in NSW - giving you the edge as you break into the industry.

REINSW Traineeships

Another option available to newcomers to the real estate industry is a traineeship. Real estate traineeships are for those wanting to learn the skills of the trade in a structured apprenticeship program.

REINSW Traineeships take between 12 months and two years to complete and you must be working in an agency to be eligible. As part of an REINSW Traineeship, you will undertake the REINSW Certificate of Registration Course.

What's next?

After you've gained some experience in real estate, you may want to take your career to the next level by obtaining a licence. The REINSW Licensing Course equips you with the skills and knowledge to manage your own agency and take greater responsibility in the marketing, management and sale of property.

Staying up to date

The real estate industry is fast paced and constantly evolving - so it's essential to stay up to date.

All real estate agents are required to complete compulsory Continuing Professional Development (CPD) each year, and REINSW CPD programs give you access to a broad range of high quality, accurate and agency-specific training.
