YOUR CAREER IN REAL ESTATE
To work as a real estate agent you must be over 16 years of age and you’ll need to obtain a Certificate of Registration from the Office of Fair Trading (OFT).
A requirement of the Certificate of Registration is the completion of the Course in Property Practice with a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) such as the Real Estate Institute of New South Wales (REINSW). Once this is completed you can apply for a Certificate of Registration from the OFT which, when issued, allows you to work in the real estate industry.
