auctioneers accreditation
From 1 September 2003, there is a requirement for ALL Auctioneers (residential and rural property) to have their Real Estate and/or Stock and Station Agent’s licence endorsed as an Auctioneer. This took effect on 1 March 2004.

Agents who wish to conduct residential auctions must either:

  • Complete the four-day PRDRE26A: Conduct Property Sale by Auction workshop; or
  • Have their skill and knowledge recognised by an Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) Process

Agents who wish to conduct rural property and livestock auctions must either:

  • Complete the course PRDSSA23A: Conduct Auction Sale (to sell rural property); and
  • Complete the course PRDSS32A: Conduct Livestock Auction (to sell livestock); or
  • Have their skill and knowledge recognised by an RPL Process

How long will the course be?

The PRDRE26A: Conduct Property Sale by Auction is a four-day course and covers all the practical and compliance issues involved in conducting an auction. This workshop is ideal for people new to auctions or anyone who cannot demonstrate they are competent through an RPL process. REINSW do not deliver livestock auction training however we can conduct the rural property and livestock RPL.

How is the course assessed?

Assessment for the four-day PRDRE26A: Conduct Property Sale by Auction workshop will be done by a practical demonstration and by assignments submitted to REINSW for marking.
