Real estate’s high achievers have been recognised in the new look 2014 Real Estate Institute of New South Wales Awards for Excellence.
On Thursday, 2 October the 17th annual Awards for Excellence Gala Dinner, held at Doltone House in Sydney, awards were presented across 21 categories including agencies large and small, community service, commercial and residential, as well as a number of new categories.
REINSW President Malcolm Gunning said the Awards for Excellence saw unprecedented levels of interest this year following a revamp of the categories, entry process and judging criteria.
“This year we undertook a comprehensive review of the Awards for Excellence program,” Mr Gunning said.
“The changes made were welcomed by our members with a 50 per cent increase in the number of entries, signaling our most fiercely contested Awards ever.
“The REINSW Awards for Excellence program has a rich history. The introduction of several new categories including Digital Marketing and Rising Star proved to be a great success without taking away from our more established categories.
“Morton & Morton took out Real Estate Agency – Large, Clarence White from McGrath Estate Agents won the Auctioneer Awards for Excellence, and CBRE won Commercial Agency – Large for the fourth consecutive year.
“The John Greig OAM Community Service award winner was Anastasia Whittaker of Bathurst Real Estate, Michael Holloway from Raine & Horne Double Bay earned the title of Rising Star and Wilson Property Agents received the Digital Marketing crown.
“The prestigious Woodrow Weight Award, which recognises outstanding contribution to real estate agency practice was presented to auctionWORKS founder and auctioneer David Scholes.
“The REINSW Awards for Excellence have a bright future. Our winners are the best in their field and this recognition is not only a vote of support from the industry body, it is used as a valuable tool by consumers who look to REINSW as a leader,” Mr Gunning said.
