Government funding available for new trainees

Government funding available for new trainees

6 November 2020

With the recent announcement by the Federal Government to assist with the recovery from the impact of COVID-19, there’s never been a better time for new and eligible trainees to undertake a real estate traineeship to obtain their licence.

The Government is offering $1.2 billion to incentivise businesses to employ trainees, and agencies can now apply for the Boosting Apprenticeships payment to make up the wages of trainees by 50% up to a maximum amount of $28,000 per annum (capped at $7,000 per quarter).

There are 100,000 traineeships available across all industries which are set to help small and medium businesses keep their apprentices and trainees in work and training. The Federal Government payment incentive is only available for new employees and the scheme runs until 30 September 2021.

There’s a lot of information to consider, and as always, REINSW has done the research to make it easy for our members to make the best decisions.

REINSW is recognised as a leading registered training organisation. By enrolling a new team member into REINSW’s Traineeship Program, we will be there every step of the way to support trainees achieve their Real Estate Licence qualification (CPP41419 - Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice).
