Auction markets go from strength to strength
The number of auctions and auction clearance rates are trending higher as February comes to a close. According to CoreLogic, 2446 homes went to auction across the country last weekend returning a preliminary clearance rate of 77.7 per cent.
In Sydney there was a clearance rate of 74.5% from a total of 963 auctions. Northern Beaches auctioneers were kept busy; 101 auctions returned a clearance rate of 85.2%. There were 122 auctions in Eastern Suburbs and a clearance rate of 81.7%.
