NSW Awards for Excellence winners head to Perth for national awards

In September last year a group of elite NSW agents were recognised for their contribution to the industry at REINSW's Awards for Excellence Gala Dinner at Sydney Town Hall.

On 21 March 2019, these agents will be put on the national stage, competing against their counterparts from other states to take our the national title in their field of excellence.

The 14th annual REIA National Awards for Excellence will be held at Crown Perth and recognises the best performers in all aspects of real estate from across the country.

"The Annual Awards are an industry highlight acknowledging the hard work and effort by individuals and agencies in achieving the best results for their clients and encourage, promote and showcase excellence and best practice in the real estate profession," says REIA President, Adrian Kelly.

"It is the ultimate accolade to be a national winner."

NSW well represented

This year NSW is represented in 13 categories of 16 categories. State winners will travel to Perth to represent their agencies in the most prestigious national real estate awards program.

Mark Stowe, Colliers International

Mark won the REINSW Achievement award which recognises outstanding newcomers to the industry.

Rich Harvey, propertybuyer

Rich demonstrates why NSW is leading the way in client advocacy and innovation.

Paul McDonald, CBRE

Paul is being recognised for his commitment to delivering quality client service.

Miron Solomons, Colliers International

With 18 years experience, Miron is qualified to hold the national title for Commercial Salesperson.

Pippa Rowntree, Leah Jay

Pippa won the REINSW's Operational Leadership award and will be competing for the Corporate Support title.

Alexandra Haggarty, David Haggarty First National

Alexandra is being recognised for her outstanding work in supporting victims of domestic violence.

Laura Bowd, Cobden & Hayson Balmain

First class client service won Laura REINSW's Residential Property Manager award, a title she'll defend on a national level.

David Highland, Highland Property Agents

David has personally sold over $250 million worth of property, making him a great contender for the national award.

However, it's not just individuals who are recognised on a national level. Five NSW agencies are also up for awards, including Colliers International for Commercial Agency of the Year; Nicholls and Co. for Communications; Cooley Auctions for Innovation; Garwood Estate Agents for Small Residential Agency of the Year and Highland Property Agents for Large Residential Agency of the Year.

Support your peers

Kelly says agents from across the country will make the trip to Perth to support their industry peers, and says you should too. 

"This year the REIA National Awards for Excellence will be proudly hosted by the Real Estate Institute of Western Australia," he says. "Show your support for your industry, for your colleagues."

The event will be MC'd Peter Rowsthorn (yep, Brett from Kath & Kim) and So Cello, Lucy Durack and Catherine Summers Band will provide entertainment.
