‘Rocktioneer’ wins Newcastle NAC

6 July 2017

Marching to the beat of his own gavel (and drum), Craig ‘Rosie’ Rosevear’s dream of a professional career in auctioneering is a step closer after winning the Newcastle Novice Auctioneer Competition (NAC).

The former Screaming Jets Drummer and director of Rosie’s School of Rock won the heat title ahead of four other contestants after impressing the judges.

He auctioned off an exclusive Screaming Jets VIP experience for $251 on a night when $2,050 was raised for the McGrath Foundation. REINSW is also supporting the McGrath Foundation’s ‘Pink Up Your Town’ initiative. Find out more here.

Craig said: “The level of competition was fierce and following such strong acts was the perfect motivator.

“It reminded me of my days back in the Jets when we would get the most kick ass support bands to push us to a higher level.”

Craig will now represent Newcastle in the State Final on Thursday 10 August at the Police and Justice Museum.

However there is one remaining heat left, which is being held at:

Heat 10 - Balmain - Sydney - Thursday, 13 July 2017.
