Rachal explained: “I had never done auctioneering before, although I had always thought about doing it.
“I decided to enter after my boss asked me if I would after I had got back from holiday, less than a week before the NAC.
“I thought I would do it to get out of my comfort zone and only had time for a few hours of practise.
“I was very nervous on the night: however, I would advise anyone to give it a go. There are not many female auctioneers out there and it is something I would be interested in moving into with a bit more practice.”
Rachal will now compete in the NAC State Final in Sydney where the overall winner scoops $1,000, gets to conduct the charity auction at the REINSW Women in Real Estate Conference, and receive two tickets to the REINSW Awards for Excellence dinner.
