Combustible Cladding: How flammable is your building façade?
Date: 18/03/2019
Time: 10am – 11am
About the webinar:
Following devastating fires in London – and more recently in Melbourne – clause 69A of the Home Building Regulation 2014 (NSW) now extends the definition of “major defect” to external flammable wall cladding.
This applies to all building products, even if used prior to the ban.
Agents managing multi-storey residential buildings must now:
- Review all design and construction documents to determine whether the external wall cladding uses the banned cladding product
- Check that the annual fire safety statement is up-to-date
- Engage a fire safety professional
To clarify your responsibility in relation to combustible cladding, Leisha de Aboitiz and Christine Nesbit will discuss clause 69A and how it relates to you in practice in a one-hour members only webinar.
Topics covered include:
- What does the Act say?
- What does it mean?
- How to work with it in practice
