Meet the Presenters


Tim McKibbin
CEO of REINSW

Tim McKibbin is the CEO of REINSW, a position he has held since 2007. Tim previously acted as the REINSW’s Legal Counsel where he was regularly required to advise agents on agency agreements and practice issues.

Tim is a solicitor and accountant, and specialised in property and taxation matters when he was in private practice. Tim regularly speaks to the media on property market issues and trends. He currently sits on the NCAT Consultative Forum, the Real Estate Reference Group established by NSW Minister Victor Dominello, and is a member of the Property Law Committee of the Law Society of New South Wales.
Leanne Pilkington
REINSW President / Managing Director Laing+Simmons

Leanne Pilkington is Managing Director of real estate group Laing+Simmons, 2017 REB Thought Leader of the Year, and President of REINSW. Leanne has more than 25 years in the industry, developing an extensive knowledge of the full spectrum of real estate services, including residential sales, property management, retail management and development.

Overseeing the whole Laing+Simmons group as well as focusing on the growth and development of each franchise, Leanne is instrumental in developing new products, services and training systems to meet the varying needs of each member of the group.

Leanne joined the Laing+Simmons group in 1995 as a Franchise and Administration Manager. In 1997 she was promoted to Marketing Manager and became General Manager in 2000.

Leanne was a finalist in the 2004 Telstra Business Woman of the Year and completed her Masters Degree in Business Administration at the University of Western Sydney in 2005. She used Laing+Simmons as her research subject in her thesis which analysed the attitudes and expectations of business owners, sales people and consumers. This has contributed to a strong grasp of issues that affect the real estate group and the NSW property market generally.
