Meet the presenters
Shelley Horton – Albion Avenue Buyers’ Agents
Shelley bought her first property in the Blue Mountains when she was in her 20’s and it had doubled in value just two years later.
Since then she has personally bought, sold and successfully renovated properties for a profit and has had a 20+ year career honing her skills in every aspect of the property industry.
Shelley started her professional career as a specialist residential property valuer. She then moved into international mortgage insurance and demanding corporate property roles, leading large property teams tasked with selling a portfolio of residential properties across Australia and New Zealand.
As a licenced NSW buyers’ agent and the director of exclusive buyers’ agency, Albion Avenue, Shelley helps clients buy and invest wisely in property.
She has a Bachelor of Business degree in Land Economics and has fine-tuned her instincts on what makes a property worth buying and how to get the best deal for her clients.
Chris Curtis – Curtis Associates
Chris has been a full-time buyers’ agent since 2007 and is also an Australian lawyer with over two decades of experience as a buyer, seller and developer of residential, commercial, investment and hospitality properties.
An Associate of the Australian Property Institute and Certified Property Practitioner, he has consistently been setting new standards in helping buyers realise their property aspirations. Chris is also a member of the REINSW Buyers’ Agents Chapter Committee.
Before establishing Curtis Associates, Chris practised for more than 16 years as a barrister in high level property, commercial, finance and building law.
Chris knows the “tricks” used against buyers in the property market and knows how to put clients in the winning position.
He combines the vision and lateral thinking of a successful property buyer and developer with the analytical skills of an investment banker and senior lawyer.
