The majority of employees who work in the real estate industry have the minimum terms and conditions of their employment set out in an industrial award – either the Real Estate Industry Award 2010 or the Clerks – Private Sector Award 2010. These minimum employment conditions include such things as rates of pay, hours of work, allowances, penalty rates and overtime.

This course will help you understand the application of these two specific real estate awards and their interaction with legislation such as the Fair Work Act. Participants will be provided with information on identifying and avoiding common problems associated with the interpretation of these awards.
