All employers are at one time faced with the difficult task of having to terminate an employee’s employment. While this is never a pleasant experience, it is important that employers take the time to ensure they have undertaken an appropriate performance management process so as minimise the associated dismissal risks.
In this program, we will discuss performance management techniques and inform employers about what steps should be taken prior to taking termination action. Participants will better understand the risks involved with dismissing employees whether because of performance, behaviour, attitude or misconduct – both within and outside the statutory Minimum Employment Period.
