Meet the Presenters

Barry Johnston has been in the property industry for 30 years.  Some 20 years ago he founded and continues to run Balmoral Partners, a boutique commercial agency and consultancy firm. He is a Board Director of the REINSW and also CommercialVIEW Ltd.  Prior to Balmoral Partners he worked for two international real estate agencies: Dexus (formerly State Super) and Goodman.

Gary Newton is a partner at Tresscox Lawyers, a leading law firm in Australia.  Gary has been practising in the area of property law for over 30 years. He is an author of several property law books and services including the widely-used LexisNexis Butterworths NSW Conveyancing Service (loose-leaf). He assists in the development and maintenance of many of the standard agreements published by REINSW including the Commercial Lease and the Retail Lease. Gary is listed in the in the Best Lawyers in Australia guide for real property law, and is a recommended lawyer by the Legal 500 Asia Pacific 2016.
