Embrace who you are to achieve more

27 September 2017

Real estate coach Susanne King says that to be successful you need to embrace who you are and what makes you unique.

Susanne will be speaking about how women can be more successful in their career at the REINSW Women in Real Estate Conference on 14 November 2017.

She explained: “One of my career messages at WIRE will be that you get who you are, not what you do.

“By this I mean that you need to shine brightly and be unique. You need to embrace the version of you that you love the most and really live it, and let go of the scared version.

“Most people look towards those they respect and admire and try to copy them instead of embracing what is unique about them. You need to give yourself permission to be who you want to be, and get the results you want to have.”

Susanne is currently the Client Service Excellence Manager at Insentra. She has also coached real estate agents, and has previously worked for the renowned life and business strategist Tony Robbins, who taught her that success is 80% psychology and 20% strategy.

How to get peak performance

Susanne said: “There are lot of judgements in the world that we have to be the perfect agent, mother, person and so on.

“But if we want peak performance the gift is to look at what you contribute to the world because what you get back from life is what you put in.

“You can do this by embracing who you are and your purpose which helps you to get respect, go after your big goals and develop resilience when things are tough. You need to dare to be different to be great.”

What is it that holds people back from making changes?

Susanne says it comes down to two things: not being good enough, and not being loved.

She explained: “If you own who you are then those fears can’t control you. You have to accept those fears will always be there but that it doesn’t control you. You can draw strength from past times where you have been successful, and from your strengths.

“You can learn from your mistakes and celebrate the small wins.”
