The Experience Advantage
REINSW's Licensing Program for experienced agents 

Are you an experienced agent and always thought that getting your licence was too hard? Too time consuming? Too expensive?

At REINSW we believe that you shouldn’t have to spend time re-learning things you already know.

By documenting your skills and knowledge, and providing evidence of your experience, we can assess whether you already meet the industry competency standards for effectively acting as an agent in accordance with all legislative and statutory requirements.
 
Through the Experience Advantage Program, we recognise your current skills and knowledge, allowing you to potentially cut your training time down significantly – and in some instances eliminate the need for additional formal training altogether.

Eligibility

The Experience Advantage Program has been specifically designed to recognise agents’ past experience and knowledge in order to minimise the time and cost of obtaining a NSW Real Estate, Stock & Station or Business Agents licence.

There are criteria to be eligible to register for this course. All participants need to have completed at least one CPD workshop for renewal (this can be completed for an additional fee) and:
  • hold a current Certificate of Registration in NSW (or equivalent in other states) for a minimum of 12 months; or
  • hold a current licence in another category or state for a minimum of 12 months; or
  • have two years experience in the property industry and have completed a diploma in a property, business or finance field.

You must send this documentation to us along with your registration, payment and the relevant booklet filled out, so that an assessor can review the documentation for you. The booklet can be obtained by calling REINSW Training on (02) 9264 2343 or by email training@reinsw.com.au. After the documentation has been assessed, we will notify you of the units you have been given exemptions for and those units that you need to complete (if any). Any outstanding units where exemption is not granted may be completed online through REINSW’s eLearning system at
no extra cost.

Please note - all required units must be completed within six (6) months of application to the Experience Advantage Program.
