In this free member webinar, you will hear Alexandra Haggarty’s inspiring story of how she is helping domestic violence victims become successful tenants in the private rental market, how Agents can work with victims to improve their chances of being granted a tenancy, and how to also achieve positive outcomes for the landlords.
This webinar will explore Alexandra’s career and how she became involved with helping domestic violence victims. She will outline how she came to work with Carrie’s Place, a shelter and service hub for domestic violence victims in the Maitland and Lower Hunter area. She will also discuss:
• What’s the value proposition for landlords and the community?
• How the hard work of matching survivors to properties and landlords is the key to success.
• How this passion has changed Alexandra and her agency.
Meet the presenters
Danielle Andrews is the Training Manager for REINSW. She has been involved in training and people management for her whole career working for organisations in Western Australia and NSW. She has also spent time on “the other side”, working within a government-sponsored Industry Skills Council as Board Member and Chairperson to help define industry training needs.
Alexandra Haggarty is the Managing Director at First National David Haggarty in Maitland, part of the Lower Hunter Valley in NSW. She has over 16 years’ experience in real estate, primarily in property management which holds a strong place in her heart. She was a finalist in the REINSW’s 2017 REINSW John Greig OAM Award for Community Service and she and her team have been recognised within the First National Network for their dedication to client service.
